Is Grote Auto Service Center the same business as Grote Automotive?

Yes — same family, same address. Grote Auto Service Center is the service and repair side of Grote Automotive, operating from Suite B of our building at 1949 S Bell School Rd in Rockford. Sales and service each keep their own website and Google listing so you can find the right team faster, but you're dealing with one company either way. Repair information, published pricing and online booking all live at groteautorepair.com.

Do I have to have bought my car here to use the service department?

No. We service vehicles regardless of where they were purchased — foreign and domestic, every make and model. Plenty of our regular service customers have never bought a car from us, and that's genuinely fine.

Can you inspect a used car before I buy it from a private seller?

Qualifying repairs are covered on both parts and labour for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. If something we repaired fails inside that window, bring it back and we'll put it right.
